Outsourcing of Legacy System Development and
Support
For Booz,
Allen, & Hamilton, a management consulting firm, RSSI/GlobeTech
provided development expertise and technical support for
numerous systems initiatives during the course of 10
years, including:
- Automation of firm's
Intercompany processing, including revaluation of
Intercompany accounts involving 15 different currencies
- Direct deposit of
payroll and expense checks for over 8,000 employees
- Reprogramming of
firm's entire administrative system to provide revenue
and cost reporting and both a geographic and practice
basis, cutting across geographies
- Creation of a
billability system and subsequent reports for management
reporting
- Creation of Payroll
interface to firm's GL system, including automated
generation of payroll journals
- Day-to-day support and
development of firm's administrative system, including
HR, T&E, AP, JE, AR, GL, Assignment Ledger, Marketing,
Billability, Fixed Assets, Staff Planning systems
- System upgrades to
maintain up-to-date environment: VM, CMS and RAMIS
- Migration from firm's
mainframe legacy system to client server platform
Booz Allen outsourced all development and support of its
legacy system to RSSI/GlobeTech through its
decommissioning, which was completed recently. Software
environment included Control Software (CP and VM/CMS),
Product Software (RAMIS, SAS, COBOL, PL/1, VM Center
products.
